Happy Monday!!!

Woo Hoo!!!  Woo Hoo!!!
How awesome is it to have the Texans win their first game of the season!!!  Go Texans!!!  What a game.....Ms. A and her dad were there to watch the game live.  I believe they had second row seats.  I know she had a great time.  She loves the Texans.....especially J.J. Watt.  (Don't we all?!)  I can't wait to talk to her and hear her recap of the game.

I hope you had a great weekend.  Ours was really busy.  I finally got some things done that I kept putting off like getting my car washed, nails done, and plants replaced around the pool.  It feels really good to have these things done and it looks good.

The hubs' boss and his wife came by on Saturday morning to test drive my car.  He is thinking of getting an SRX for her.  I think she was pretty impressed with the test drive and all of the features.

I was completely honest and told her the only down side is the cargo space is so much smaller than my 4Runner was.  Makes it hard (but not impossible) to get large decor items form the store to home.  Again, not impossible.  Just takes a while to finagle things to fit.  :)  I think it took me at least 15 minutes to get the last large items I purchased to fit inside.

I had a small pool party with a couple of friends from work.  The hubs was the best waiter (thanks to LSU winning!) making the margaritas and serving us poolside.  We never had to leave the water!  We definitely drank more than we normally would have.  Some of us were feeling it on Sunday!  The Margaritaville Bahamas Frozen Concoction Maker (did a post here) is so awesome.

Funny story.  Nelly (from Nelly and Her Nerd) and I made the first margaritas using the "no brainer" mixing tool.  So funny!!!  We had two brains and we still screwed it up....totally sober!  We didn't realize that the two holes were lined up to pour the mixture straight through.
No Brainer - ha!

Holes are not lined up
I poured the amount of tequila that it recommended (we were so excited!) and suddenly we got a strong scent of tequila.  OMG!!!  The tequila was all over the counter!  Thank goodness it wasn't sticky.  We were saddened by the waste of tequila but we quickly moved on.  The margaritas were very good!

We had taco flavored beef for nachos and tortillas.  There was chili con queso, picante sauce, shredded cheese, sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes, jalapenos, chips and brownies.  The table looks pretty empty because I kept everything in the refrigerator until we were ready to eat.  It was a good thing I didn't put everything out because we didn't eat until after 7:30 p.m.

A big thank you to Nelly for going by Home Depot and picking up four cans of Cutter's Backyard Bug Control.  The mosquitoes (uninvited guests) were so bad the Mosquito Magic was not working.  We used two cans of the Cutter.  So happy it worked so well.

We had a great time.  I am really sorry that we did not take one single photo of us, at least drinking our margaritas!  We never thought about it.  We were so busy talking and drinking in the pool.  We were out there until 9:30 p.m.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend!!!

Debbie
