Wedding in Wimberley, TX

Amanda (our cousin) and Dennis were married on Saturday at The Blue Hole in Wimberley, TX.  The Blue Hole is a very popular place for weddings.

It was a very beautiful place.  These photos do not do it justice as it was overcast that day.
This is the area behind where the ceremony took place.

Aunt Lisa had wooden church pews brought in for seating.

My mother-in-law Shirley with her nephew Drew.
Shirley and my son-in-law Brad.
The hubs was recruited to be an escort.  Here he is escorting in his mom.

I wonder how many times over the years they have put their heads together?  :)
Amanda's roommate from college was her "maid of honor".
(I'm sorry but I can't remember her name.)  She looked so pretty in her dress.

The path they walked down to reach the area where the ceremony was held was
very, very long.

Amanda's father passed away when she was a senior in high school so her
Uncle Lee walked her down the rest of the way.

Lee has two sons so this was an honor for him to escort his niece.

Amanda made a beautiful bride.

The wedding reception was held at the Nutty Brown Cafe & Amphitheatre in Austin, TX.

Head table
Aunt Lisa had shopped garage sales and collected table cloths, china, silverware, goblets, and glasses for the reception.  Everything was beautiful.

The centerpieces were stalks of cotton bolls in various glass containers.  Some of them had pearls mixed in with them while others had clear stems.  She had various plants in different containers.  Some of the tables had burlap table runners.

Introducing Amanda and Dennis
Here are a few photos of their "first dance".

The cake was delicious.  It had both chocolate and vanilla layers.  I believe the filling
was Irish Cream.

It was a beautiful wedding.  Congratulations Amanda and Dennis!!!

Take care,

Debbie

    1. Thank you for the kind words. The wedding was for my husband's cousin. Her mother did all of the planning and shopping for the wedding. She did an awesome job!!! Thanks for stopping by!

  2. I'm getting married at Blue Hole this summer. Is there any way you can find out where they rented the church pews? Thanks! ~Emilea emilea.millstead@yahoo.com

    1. Hello Emilea, I will ask my aunt where she rented the pews. Good luck with your wedding!

    2. Emilea, I spoke with my aunt and got the information you wanted. The company is The Loot in Austin. She does not recommend them after the fiasco that happened at Amanda's wedding. She made arrangements and paid them upfront. The church pews were late and dirty. Some of the guests were cleaning off the pews. They also delivered chairs to the reception and they were late. She suggested if you decide to go with them have them deliver them the day before you need them. She wishes you all the best!
