I'm Having Disney Withdrawals!!!

Disney withdrawals are real!!!

I bet you didn't even know we were gone.  :)  Our flight left on Friday,
November 14th at 6:25 a.m. and we arrived in Orlando at 9:30 a.m.  We stayed six
nights at the Pop Century, five days at the four Disney parks and two days at
Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios.
We returned to Houston on Thursday, November 20th.  Our flight departed
Orlando at 6:50 p.m. and we arrived in Houston at 8:50 p.m.

As tired as I was on Thursday night, I was giddy with excitement
as I walked into our home seeing our Christmas decorations, knowing that our
decorating was done!  What an awesome gift to myself.  I immediately
did a happy dance and turned on all of the Christmas lights.

We totally crashed on Friday, staying in our pj's all day.  Talk about a reality
check.  The cupboards were pretty bare so we had pasta and
sauce for dinner.   Our magic bands were no longer working.  :(

On Saturday we ran errands and I had my screen cover on my new iPhone
changed out.  I had dropped my phone while trying to close a light saber!
We picked up a few items from the grocery store and headed home to wash
our huge pile of dirty laundry.  On Sunday we took advantage of another day
to rest.  I watched Christmas movies while the hubby watched football.

I have so many photos to sort through and edit that I want to share with you.
Like in the neighborhood of 2,000+ photos and videos.  I will share them with you
just as soon as they are ready.

In the meantime, I am having Disney withdrawals.  Don't get me wrong, I am very
happy and grateful to be home.  After all, there is no place like home.

Hope you have a magical day!

Do You Believe in Santa Claus?

I have to ask you, do you believe in Santa?
I can unequivocally say that I do.

I believe in the good that Santa represents for us to follow in our every day
lives, not just at Christmas time.  I've always said that I'd love to "bottle up"
the feelings and kindness that people show one another during the holiday
season so that we can extend it all year long.

For me there is so much more to Christmas than decorating our home for the
holidays.  It's about remembering and experiencing traditions with our
children and our grandchildren.

It's about taking time to send a Christmas
card to our family and friends to let them know that even though we
won't be seeing them we are thinking of them.

It's about bringing Christmas to those that are less fortunate than us.

It's also about reminding children that they better be good,
they better not pout, 'cause Santa Claus is coming
to town!!!

I hope that as you prepare for the upcoming Thanksgiving festivities,
you take a moment to breathe and reflect on what this season
is really about.  What it really means to you and your family.
It's not about having a perfect holiday setting.  It's about being with
those that you love.

I am thankful for you, my friends and my family.
I am thankful for my job.
I am thankful for our good health.
God is good.

Take care,

Debbie

Welcome to Our Master Bath - Christmas Style

Welcome to our master bathroom.  You have arrived at your final destination.
I believe this is the last room for you to see.
I picked up this "springy" Santa at Cracker Barrel several years ago.
Cracker Barrel has beautiful home decor at reasonable prices.
Here is our Christmas tree art print that we made last year.

I love these his and hers towels.  Aren't they cute?
Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope you enjoyed your tour
of our holiday home.

I hope you and your family have a very happy holiday season!!!

Take care,

Debbie

Welcome to Our Master Bedroom - Christmas Style

I am SO excited to finally have a tree in here.  Especially a Cheetah tree!!!  I've wanted to put
one up in here for at least three years.  Yeah me!!!
I love the sentiments on this pillow.  I picked it up at Home Goods.
My mother-in-law, Shirley, painted this Santa picture many years ago.  She was not doing anything
with this picture so we asked if we could have it to hang in our home.  Thankfully she said
yes.  So we had it framed and display it proudly every holiday season.

I ordered the "Santa Claus is watching" sign on Etsy.

I just adore this crescent shaped Santa.  He used to light up but not any more.  He
must be 20+ years old.
Yes, we have more stockings just for us.  If you  have been counting this makes
three sets of stockings!!!

All I want for Christmas is peace and good will for all.

How do you like this pretty red feather wreath for our door.  I'd say it's a little
on the sexy side, wouldn't you?  Ha ha!!!

Thanks for stopping by...tomorrow's tour will be the master bathroom.

Take care and happy decorating!

Debbie

Upcoming Family Vacation to Disney World and Universal Studios

Our upcoming Disney/Universal trip has me reminiscing about our last family trip in December 2010.  Ms. A was almost 5 years old and Ms. P was almost 2 years old.  They look so young in these photos.
It was so cold while we were there they had the plants covered to protect them.  Seriously!
One morning we had a character breakfast meal at Tusker House.  It was 28 degrees!!!  I kid you not.  They had heaters on the plants to keep them from freezing.
Here is Ms. P reading the map for us at Islands of Adventure.
Doesn't she look like a doll?  Paw Paw looks like he is having a great time, too!
We had so much fun seeing the girls get excited about Barney.
I imagine we will be there again for Mr. W.  :)
Cute pic of Tiffani and her girls.
Ms. A is crazy for the Toy Story movies.
How cute is this?  They had their arms full of Mickey and Minnie and were bringing them
to their Paw Paw.
He is so good with them.
Here we are patiently waiting for the parade to start.

Being silly in Animal Kingdom.
Such a sweet photo with Rabbit.
Ms. A wearing a crazy Buzz Lightyear hat.
Ms. P got her first Mickey Mouse ears!  This year Mr. W will get his very own ears.

These photos of the hubs smiling so big proves he has a great time every time we go!

How sweet.....
Patiently waiting for the princesses to show.....

Brooke and I with Mickey Mouse at the Tusker House in Animal Kingdom.  We look pretty
good considering it was so early in the morning.

Sweet P burning off energy while we were waiting for characters.

Brooke having a margarita to celebrate her 21st birthday at Planet Hollywood.
Here she is again posing with her favorite of all times....Lucy.

I hope you enjoyed my stroll down memory lane.

Take care,

Debbie

Christmas Cards

Merry and Bright Wreath

Do you participate in the tradition of sending out Christmas cards?  Do you love
checking the mail to see if you have a card in your mail?

Surprise!  Surprise!

I love Christmas cards.  I love sending them and I love getting them.  I think it is a sweet
and small way to let someone you may not see very often know that you are thinking of them.

There are so many kinds/themes of Christmas cards to choose from.  Here are a few of
my favorite ones this year.

Tell It on the Mountain

Blessed Christmas Boxed Cards

Perfect Snowflake Boxed Cards

For Special Friends Boxed Cards
I hope you are enjoying yourself as you prepare for the holiday season.

Debbie
