Our Sunday was WAY SLOWER after such a crazy Saturday. For the first time in forever (Frozen tune) I slept in until 9:45 a.m. (after waking up at 4:30 a.m. first). It was heavenly. I can't remember the last time I was able to sleep in. During the week I wake up at 4:30 a.m. so sleeping past 8 a.m. is a bonus in my book.
The hubs returned my movie (Wild with Reese Witherspoon / did not like it) to Redbox and picked up McDonald's for lunch. I'm not much of a hamburger girl but I was so appreciative of the gesture.
Let's just say I didn't spend much time cleaning house....I was on a mission to get to the pool. The water is warm enough now that you can lay on the float and not freeze if there is a breeze. I floated for over two hours. It was so relaxing. The music was blaring, the birds were singing, and the rain stayed away! I had intended on reading more of the third book in the HP series but that never happened.
The hubs has been putting in lots of hours at work and getting home late (like 7 to 8 p.m.) so I have been taking care of dinner. He returned the gesture and cooked Zatarain's Jambalaya Mix with sausage for dinner.
|I didn't take any photos / ours did not have shrimp...just sausage.|
He takes a lot of care in keeping up with the pool but he does not spend a lot of time in it. I convinced him to scrap the paper work and get in the pool. He listened, enjoyed it and was glad he did. He came up with the idea of us dedicating one full day on the weekend to spend in the pool. We decided on Saturdays so we don't have to worry about going in early. We can watch a movie and stay out late with candles glowing all around. Very romantic and relaxing.
I have to tell you it is so hard to go back to reality after spending time here. We love it. It's the best thing we EVER did.
Hope you are having a great day!
