The Pumpkin Patch

Our church has a Pumpkin Patch every year.  We purchase the pumpkins from the Navajo Indians in New Mexico.  They tell us how to price the various sizes.  We return 75% of the money we make and keep 25% for the church.  We are ranked in 8th place in sales in the nation.  That is a lot of pumpkins.

The shifts are worked by volunteers made up mostly by members of the church.

Most shifts are worked by two people, however, there are some with only one person.

I worked the 2-4 p.m. shift on Tuesday with a gentleman from church.  The shift before us only sold $33.00 worth of pumpkins.

We sold $414.50 during our shift.  That my friend is a lot of pumpkins!!!

I heard that over the weekend, two different shifts made over $1,000.00 each.  I'm so glad I wasn't working that shift!!!

Do you have a pumpkin patch near you?  If so, do you go?  It is so much fun watching all the little ones running around trying to find the perfect pumpkin.  Some families have been coming to the Pumpkin Patch for years to have family photos made.  It is a family tradition.

Wishing you a wonderful Fall week!!!

Take care,

xoxoxo

Debbie
