Happy Holidays Open House Day 10

Happy Wednesday to you!!!  Can you believe we are 16 days 'til Christmas Day?!!!  I am so excited!!!  I hope you are, too!  Now don't get me wrong, things are NOT going perfectly around here.  Just yesterday evening I turned the lights on on the tree in the game room and some of them aren't working.  Yeah...you read that right.  :(  Thank goodness it is only in two areas so I might have a glass of wine one evening and add lights to those two areas add some lights.  I don't think I can go four weeks with the tree not completely lit.  We'll see.

Today I've chosen Downhere's "How Many Kings" for our listening pleasure.  I love this song.  I hope you enjoy it.

I  have a bowl of gumbo ready for you if you get hungry.  No, I didn't make it...the hubs did.  But I did help by chopping the onions and cutting up the sausage.  That counts right?  Grab your glass of sweet tea and let's check out the decorations in the kitchen/breakfast room.

The theme in here is snowmen.  All kinds of snowmen.  I love the ornament the snowman is holding.  It says "what happens at grandma's stays at grandma's".  That pretty much sums it up when it comes to my grandkids.

This I love Frosty is made to hang on the wall but I like to display him on the counter.

The Believe light up sign and the snowman candle holder on the stovetop are from Hallmark many years ago.

It's hard to see these snowmen even when they are lit up.  The two on the left side are powered by batteries while the one on the right plugs in to the outlet.

I leave these cute little guys (ornaments) on the cake plate when I don't have any fresh baked goods.

My brother and sister-in-law gave me the snowman cookie jar many years ago.

I picked up this tin sign and another one you will see a little later at Hobby Lobby.

I love this snowman wreath.  We bought it at the Incredible Christmas Place  in Pigeon Forge, TN.  If you are a huge fan of Christmas you should add this to your bucket list for places to go.  They celebrate Christmas 365 days a year.  It is so awesome if you love Christmas as much as I do.

We stayed at The Inn at Christmas Place right across the street.

The decorations at the Inn and the store are beautiful.  You will definitely find something to add to your Christmas decorations.

Maybe this little guy came from Hobby Lobby?

I bought this wooden snowman at Kirkland's many, many years ago.

I love my snow lady.  I bought her at Big Lots some time ago.

The window snowman was also purchased at Kirkland's some time ago.

The wet mittens sign was purchased at Big Lots.

The Joyous Noel apron was a gift from one of my favorite bosses of all time, Bob Stover.

I love the snowmen hanging down the front of the tree....can you believe I got it at Walgreens forever ago for $5.00.  It is one of my all time favs.

This wreath used to hang above the fireplace until it was replaced with Santa.

I bought these sweet snowmen ornaments on clearance at Kroger's many, many years ago.

The snowman on the cake plate was a centerpiece on the tables for a Christmas party I was responsible for putting on years ago.  Everyone a tag under their chair and the person that had winner written on theirs won the centerpiece.  One of the guys I worked with won and gave it to me.  Sweet, right?

Here's a view of the kitchen from the breakfast room.  The rugs are from Kohl's.

My family of snowmen are from Big Lots many, many years ago.  The light up blocks of ice are from Department 56.

I love the dancing snowmen from Hobby Lobby.

Don't you just love this jump in the box snowman like jack in the box.

The cookies for Santa plate and mug are souvenirs from one of our trips to Disney World.

I love my "don't drink and decorate" glass!  I got it 75% off from a store here in Pearland.  Score!

My happy holidays Mickey mug is a souvenir from Disney World.  Makes me smile every time I use it.

The large snowmen ornament used to light up but doesn't any more.

Here is a view looking into the family room from the kitchen.

Phew!!!  I bet you are hungry after all that!  Let's sit and have a bowl of sausage and chicken gumbo and talk about what's going on in your life.

Tomorrow we will take a tour of our outdoor decorations in the front of our home.  I hope you have a wonderful evening!!!

Take care,

xoxoxo

Debbie

    1. Hello Allyson and thank you for stopping by! OMG! You are the first person I've ever met that has been there. It is such an awesome place and it is so hard to describe to someone that hasn't had the opportunity to go. Did you get a chance to go across the street to the Inn at Christmas Place? Merry Christmas to you and your family.
