Happy Holidays Open House Day 6

Hello again.  I'm so appreciative of you taking time out of your busy day to stop by.  I imagine you are pretty busy getting ready for the holidays.  Doesn't it seem like the list never ends?  Especially when you keep adding on to it or someone else does?  :)

I hope you are hungry as I have some beignets and hot coffee for you.  I thought it might be a nice touch since we are going to be talking about LSU.  Geaux Tigers!!!

Today I've chosen C.J. Chenier and the Red Hot Louisiana Band's "Zydeco Christmas" for your listening pleasure.  I grew up with my parents listening to Zydeco and Cajun French music.  I hope you enjoy it.

We are in the game room / hubs office.
We are huge LSU fans so it was only natural that we have an LSU themed tree with a little Mardi Gras mixed in.

Some of our most favorite ornaments were bought at Stine Lumber Company in Sulphur, La.  I am sad to say they no longer carry the ornaments and collectibles.  It was a tradition for us to stop by and purchase a new ornament while on our way home from visiting our families.  We bought the helmet there (I copied their idea of using it as a topper.)

I love this little sign that says "We interrupt this marriage for LSU football".  That could not be more true.  The world stops when there is an LSU game.  Ask any woman married to an LSU fan.  She'll tell you the same thing.

Santa is taking a day off here to play a game of golf.  Did you happen to notice the Tiger beads?

We have been collecting LSU statues for years.  We try to add a new one each year.

I have bought the hubs quite a few golf ornaments over the years.  Rather than have another tree, I hang them from the shelf he has over his golf stand.

Check out his collection of beads.  Imagine a grown man wearing these beads.  Yeah....that's right.  :)

Here are a few more statues.

This one is our most favorite of all.

The hubs bought this painted canvas this year at the Nutcracker Market.  It lights up.

Do you have any sports themed Christmas trees?

Thank you for stopping by.

Take care,

xoxoxo

Debbie

    1. LOL!!! I love it. There's nothing wrong with a little rivalry in the SEC!!! This could be fun. Thanks again for your kind words. I truly appreciate them.
