Chip and Joanna Gaines' Magnolia Store

First thing Saturday morning we drove over to Chip and Joanna Gaines' Magnolia Store.  It was very overcast and drizzling so there weren't any lines to get into the store.  I hear they usually have a very long line to get inside.  Now that does not mean there wasn't anyone inside!  There was quite a line at the cash register upon entering the store.

There were a lot of beautiful things to see.  I was so tempted to buy a couple of topiaries but I resisted.  I wasn't sure where I'd put them.  I am always moving around the two I have.  :)

Do you see the long line in the background?  It was so long it curled around.  At this point, I am asking myself is there something I really need to have to wait in that line with two kiddos in tow that are not interested in anything in the store?

I thought this was a very unusual looking lamp with a nod to magnolias.

I love the faux flowers, especially the tulips.  They are so pretty and real looking.  I should of grabbed them right then but I made the conscious decision to order them online.  Guess what?  They aren't on line!  I am so bummed!

I have a thing for magnolias and magnolia leaves so it was natural for me to be drawn to the wreaths. However, I resisted as one of the things on my "to do" list is to make my own from fresh magnolia leaves.

The door to the right goes to the discounted area.

As you can see in the photo below, there weren't as many people in this area.

This my friend, is where you can bypass the long lines and check out much faster.

I bought two of Joanna's signature candles with the linen scent.  I was checked out in less than five minutes.  The girl that assisted me was so friendly.

It was still drizzling outside so Ms. A and I got under the overhang while Sweet P and her Paw Paw walked out onto the grounds.  You can tell Chip and Joanna really had the kids in mind by providing a space for them to run around and play while mom shops!  Maybe the dads won't notice how long she is in there!

Here's Sweet P doing the hula hoop.

Ms. A and I were cracking up watching her because she is so serious.  I love the way she holds her hands...all that gymnastic practice is showing thru.

We had a great time and I fully intend on going back without children.  :)  They were very good...I just felt rushed as I had three pairs of eyes watching me.  The hubs is a great shopper but we just had so many things we wanted to do before the game started.

I heard the shopping at Spice Village is really awesome.  We didn't make it there as I wanted the girls to do things they wanted to do.  It was all about them!  As usual!!!  I will be going there the second time around.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!!

  1. I was there on Friday for my first visit! The check out lines were long in both spots, but we did buy a few things. It was fun to see the shop and the one down the street. Haven't heard of spice village. I'll have to check that next time.

    1. Hi Sue, I'm glad to hear you were able to stop by the Magnolia Store. What was the name of the store you went to just down the road from it? There are quite a few places I want to go to on our next trip to Waco. What did you think of Waco? Thank you for stopping by. Have a great week!

  2. I think the name of the shop was Findery. You can see it from Magnolia, just a block away. We also went to the carpenter's shop, Harp Design. That is all we did in Waco, although we drove through a neighborhood that was nearby and saw some beautiful homes. We were on a girls trip to the hill country and Waco was just a stop on the way. I shared some photos on Instagram - ordinary miracles.5. I'm afraid I neglect my blog😁

    1. Lucky you! I wanted to go to those stores but I didn't want to push my luck with the kiddos. I just found you on Instagram and am now a follower. I can be found at D_Mayfield. I look forward to following you! Have a wonderful evening!
