Holiday Home Tour - Guest Bedroom

I am so excited you had a chance to stop by.  I'm sure you're super busy with Thanksgiving only three days away.  Can you believe it?  I don't want to keep you long so grab a cup of coffee and let's get going!

I am thrilled with the way this room has turned out.  I love the rustic luxe look.  I so wanted to add plaid to our decor this year but I didn't want to break the bank while doing so.  And to be honest, I really didn't want to have to change out the comforter set (as I do in the Grinch bedroom).  So when I came across these plaid pillows with a cream accent color I swooped them up.  I think they are a nice compliment to what is otherwise a dressy comforter.  I'd like to find a different set of sheets but the brown will have to do for now.  :)

I had a lot of fun decorating the tree.  I used rustic elements mixed in with a few white glittery churches.  The tree skirt is really a kitchen hand towel.  :)

I saw these little stockings and knew exactly what I was going to do with them.  I strung gift wrapping cord across the headboard using 3M hooks to secure it.  Rather than use clothes pins to secure the stockings I strung them on so they could hang freely.  The bows have clips so it made it really easy to clip them on.  I call this my Pottery Barn moment.  :)

The Merry Christmas sign and the sleigh are both from Kirkland's.  The sleigh has little lights that are powered by batteries.

A view from the hall.

This room came together with a hodge podge of decorations I already had.  The snowman on the wreath used to hang in the breakfast room but I think he looks so much better here.  Don't you?

I think the rustic look of the Joy sign and the wooden snowman compliment the look.

I have had these cute little elves, Noel and Joy, for years.  A sweet friend of mine, Geneva, made them.  My MIL gave me the wooden church for Christmas a few years back.

My snow lady has a much more prominent spot here and is a nice compliment to the decor.

I had so much fun pulling objects from around our home for this display.

Don't you just love the expressions on these sweet angel faces?

Tiffani gave me this sweet monogram Christmas tree earlier this year.

Again, thank you for stopping by.  It was really nice to see you.

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Hugs,

xoxoxo

Debbie

  1. I'll be right there! :) Everything looks beautiful and so festive. Your guest(s) will feel so comfy they won't want to leave!

I must recommend sheets at Target if/when you're ready to purchase more. They're the Threshold brand and are simply outstanding! Never wrinkle, wash easily and dry in a jiffy on a Casual setting. The fitted sheet has little tags inside that indicate "Top or Bottom" and "Side". So easy to make your bed without being challenged by fitted sheets! :)
