Our Holiday Home Tour - Family Room

Welcome to our family room.  This is my most favorite room in our home.  We watch movies, play games, read books, assemble puzzles, host slumber parties, have snuggles by the fire, and entertain guests in this room.  So naturally, it has the most twinkling lights, flickering (fake) candles and spotlights than any other room in our home to provide the most amazing ambiance.

Here is the view from the hallway.

The view from the master bedroom.

I love how the Santa collection reflects in the mirror.

In the past, I have displayed Mary and Joseph on a beautiful gold, gilded mirror.  This year I chose to place them directly on the table so it is so much easier to move them to play games, color or assemble puzzles at a moment's notice.

Mr. W (our grandson) loves to move my village people around in the snow.

I had a lot of fun coming up with ideas for our mantel.

I thought this canvas was so cute.  I picked it up at the Christmas Mouse in North Myrtle Beach, SC.

I hung real candy canes from the elf's arm for all of the little helpers.

I love these sweet Santas.

I hand picked these coasters at the Carolina Opry House in Myrtle Beach, SC.  I love the fact that they are all different, yet meaningful.

The Merry Christmas sign is made of resin and usually hangs over a doorway.  This year I decided to incorporate it into the tree.  I am so pleased with how it turned out.

Ho Ho Ho!!!

This pillow says it all....

The hubs chose this large Believe metal sign at the Nutcracker Market last year.  Mr. W is very afraid of the Santa sitting below it.  It is sound activated and will move around the floor.  He will not come into our home unless we put him in our bedroom closet.  We think it is because Santa is rather loud.

I found this sign at Tuesday Morning after one of Sweet P's gymnastic meets.  I think it sums it up the best.  "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!"

I left out the two villages so I will share them with you tomorrow.

Hope you are having nice weather where ever you may be.  Our weather will be changing tomorrow with the temperature dropping into the 40's with strong wind gusts.  It is supposed to be in the 30's on Friday.  I can't wait.  We finally get to light the fire place.

Hope you have a wonderful evening!

Take care,

xoxoxo
