Her Point of View - Organization

Good morning!!!  Happy Monday to all of you!

I hope you had a great weekend doing the things you love with
the people you love the most.  I spent mine working out, shopping
for groceries, preparing meals for this week, started packing up Christmas
and visiting with my two precious granddaughters.  They fill my heart with so
much love and laughter!  Yes, I know I missed church.  Our church had
it's yearly "The Church Has Left the Building" on Sunday.  This is where
we go out and help the elderly, schools, etc. by working the landscape,
making repairs, or whatever needs to be done.  It is a very rewarding
service to our community.

How do you keep your "to do" list in order?  Do you use a planner or your IPhone?
I have an IPhone that I keep my appointments on, however, I still like the
"old school" paper planner.  My favorite is the weekly Classic
"Her P.O.V."  There is a new quote for every week on various
topics.  I really like today's quote on organization.

"Life can be fascinating, frustrating, intriguing, even frightening
at times.  However, the one thing it shouldn't be is overwhelming.
As human beings, we have been endowed with all the tools
required to deal with life, and whatever it throws at us."

I hope you have a wonderful day today!!!

Ms. D's Christmas by the Pool

Hello!  I thought I'd share the Christmas decorations I put up
around the pool in our backyard.

I saw these ornaments at Hobby Lobby and could not resist.
Especially at 50% off!!!

Every year I carry this planter around the house trying to decide
what to do with it.  Now I know....plant pansies!!!  :)

I never got around to decorating these trees. :(

This cute little snowman container was originally a candle that burned
out several years ago (like way back!).  I decided it would be a great
accent to decorate the patio by planting pansies in it.

My poor wreath had been beaten up by the wind!  It usually
hangs up in the front of the house but with the hubby out of
town for several weeks it just didn't happen.  So the creative
person that I am decided to hang it here.

That was definitely a bad decision on my part!  I had to move it
under the patio because of all the storms we were having.

I planted pansies around the pool.  I love pansies!!!

Thank you for stopping by!!!

Ms. D's Christmas Village

Here is the Christmas village that is laid out on our bar
that overlooks the family room.

Several years ago my husband and I decided we wanted a village so
we went to Kohl's and purchased all of these buildings at
50% off from their St. Nicholas Square collection.

I really enjoy putting this together.  I spray the snow with hairspray
to help it stay in place.  Usually the only time it comes off is
when someone has been playing with it!

Thank you for stopping by!!!

Ms. D's Spare Bedroom # 2

Welcome to our second spare bedroom.

We just recently changed this room up a bit.  There was
an armoire in the corner that housed the TV but it
took up way too much space.  I was so happy to sell it.
We had a sleigh headboard and foot board that I felt was
taking up too much space.  I like the openness of
the room now that those two items are gone.

I robbed the stack of chests from the game room so I
could use them as a nightstand.  I bought the lamp at
Hobby Lobby for $29.99 on their Clearance rack.  The two
pieces of artwork do not go in this room.  They are
temporarily here until I pack up all of the Christmas
decorations.

We hung the TV on the wall.

The tree in this room is decorated for Mardi Gras.

The carousel is usually with the Disney village but
this year I decided to place it by itself. I really like the added
color it brings to the room.

A friend of mine gave me the little elves several years ago.  Aren't
they adorable!  She made them herself.
Thank you for stopping by.
Take care,
Ms. D

Ms. D's Spare Bedroom #1

Welcome to our first spare bedroom (formerly known as
Ms. B's room).  We are still in the process of changing this room.
The walls were recently painted so some of them are still bare.  I am
not one to hurry up and purchase something just to hang on the walls (or
anywhere else for that matter).  I like to take my time and find something that
I really love.  It drives my husband CRAZY!!!  He'd just
as soon buy anything to go up.  Not me!!!

I made this wreath for Ms. B's room.  She really likes owls so
I used this pink one as the focal point.  I added black, white and pink tulle
throughout the wreath.  I also added some silver twisty decorations for a
bling effect.  I thought it came out really cute!

I borrowed this chair from the game room.  I haven't decided
just yet if I'll move it back and replace it with a new one.

I love this tree. If only they were all this easy to put up!!! Ha!
I picked this one up at Target. I thought the style and color
were a great compliment to the room.

We picked up this chest and night stand at Kirkland's.  I
like the old look that it brings into the room.

I saw these beautiful deer ornaments at Cracker Barrel and had to have them.
I knew I wanted to put them in this room but I wasn't sure how.
I decided to place these snowy looking branches in a crystal vase with
white lights inside for the warm glow in the evening.  I added some snow and a
couple of very old "knick-knacks" for color.

I love the way the ornaments look hanging from the branches.  This
little beauty only cost me $10 because I had everything except for the
ornaments!!!

I could not resist putting these gumballs (from Cracker Barrel) in
a crystal dish.  They make me think of snow balls!!!

Here's a peek at what it looks like at night.

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Ms. D's Guest Bathroom

Welcome to our guest bathroom.

The theme here is Santas and poinsettias.

This is the first year I place the "HoHoHo" sign above the sink.
I have really enjoyed it here.  :)

I twisted a poinsettia around the towel holder to match
the ones in the container and also under the candle holder.

All three of the Santa pictures in this bathroom are about 28 years old.
I purchased them at a Christmas Around the World Party.
Every year I pack them in their original box.

Thank you for stopping by!!!

Ms. D's Master Bedroom

Welcome to our Master Bedroom.

I added the pillow in the center of the bed this year.

I picked up the presents at Cracker Barrel a couple of years ago.

My husband and I were in Pier One when I came across
this adorable penguin.  I could not resist him!  Of course my hubby
rolled his eyes!!!

I added lights to the garland above the armoire.

Thank you for stopping by.

Ms. D's Master Bath

Welcome to our master bath.

I love these towels.  I don't  know if you can tell but
they say "His" and "Hers".

I borrowed this pillow from our bed for Santa to lean on.

This year I added the vase of ornaments with the gold
decorative branches.  I put some clear lights down
inside with the balls.  It puts off a nice glow at night.

Here is a touch of whimsy with this
Patience Brewster Christmas tree and ornaments.

Thanks for stopping by!
