Sweet P's Book Corner

Hi my name is Sweet P and I would like to give you a summary of what I thought about the book "Warriors Into The Wild" by Erin Hunter.

#warriorsintothewild

A kiitypet [any cat owned by humans] comes into the Thunder Clan and gets treated badly just because he is a kitttypet.  Little did they know that there was something special about him.  They continue to treat him unfair and still he shows them he should be treated fairly and then they still treated him unfair.  They had other problems though.  The other clans were stealing there prey and always attacking them.  Can they survive through Leafbare [Fall]?

I really enjoyed this book because it was interesting.  I think you should read BlueStar's Prophecy first because it made tons more sense when I read it.

Take care and happy reading,

Sweet P

Hi my name is Sweet P and I would like to give a summary of what I thought about the book "BlueStar's Prophecy" from the series "Warriors by Erin Hunter".

BlueStar's Prophecy leads up to a book I am going to do a report on later called "Warriors Into The Wild".  I would recommend you to read this book first so you understand the next book better.

Bluekit [BlueStar] is born and she had overheard a prophecy about her.  It was said "Like fire, you will blaze through the forest".  So Bluekit decides to talk to her sister [Snowkit].  Snowkit didn't believe that it was true so she said "don't believe it".  Later Bluestar is a Warrior and she has lost her mom and her sister over a few months.   She is destined to be a leader and one day save her clan. That day came when she had kits and had to give them up to save her clan.  She becomes a leader and saves her clan.

BlueStar's Prophecy is an amazing book. I enjoyed it a lot.  If you are interested in this report you are going to enjoy the book.

Take care and happy reading,

Sweet P

Hi my name is Sweet P and I would like to give you a summary of what I thought about the book "Lola" from the series "The Puppy Place by Ellen Miles".

#lola
#puppyplace

The Peterson family fosters puppies and dogs to find a good home for them. Charles and his friends find Lola stuck outside just before a storm. She has a home but it is not a good home. They have a decision to make. Should they bring her to be fostered at Charles' house or leave the cute black and white French Bulldog here?  They brought her to one of Charles' friends house and find a forever home for Lola.

I like the series Puppy Place because I love animals.  In fact, I have a puppy and a three year old English Bulldogs at home.  I love it when they find a home because I want all animals to have a place to live always.

Take care and happy reading,

Sweet P

Hi my name is Sweet P and today I'd like to give a summary of what I thought about the book "Buddy" from the book series "Puppy Place by Ellen Miles".

#buddy
#puppyplace

Charles and Lizzie Peterson love puppies and are very good at taking care of them.  They'd love to have one of their own, but their mom isn't ready to have one full time.  In the meantime, they take care of puppies that are in need of a home.

Lizzie helps out at the dog shelter so she sees the new arrivals.  One day,  a new dog Skipper has three puppies.  Lizzie was so excited!  She was able to convince her mom to foster all four dogs.

They found homes for all of them except one that was a boy they named Buddy. They found an amazing home for Buddy.

I always like these books because they are so enjoyable.  This would be a good book for people who absolutely love animals.

Take care and happy reading!

Hi my name is Sweet P and I would like to give you a summary of what I thought about about the book "The Thing About Jellyfish" by Ali Benjamin.

The Thing About Jellyfish is magical, touching, entertaining and tragically sad.  I found myself deeply moved by it.

Suzy Swanson has always known a lot of things the other kids didn't know like how many jellyfish stings happen in one year and how many Shakespeare atoms are in one kid's body.

One of Suzy's best friends, Franny, died from a Jellyfish sting while on vacation.  Suzy and Franny were in a big fight and Suzy feels badly about the way things were left between them.  She wanted to find out what really happened to her best friend.  She thought she could go half way across the world to find out the truth of what happened to her best friend but fortunately her mom stopped her at the airport.

I really enjoyed this book.  I want to read this book over and over again because it was such an amazing book.

Take care and happy reading,

Hi my name is Sweet P and I would like to give you a summary of what I thought about the book "Because of the Rabbit by Cynthia Lord".

On the last day of summer vacation Emma is having dinner with her family when her dad receives a call to rescue a wild rabbit.  You see, her dad is the Maine Game Warden and he gets lots of calls to rescue animals in danger.  This time he is going to rescue a wild rabbit from a picket fence, only when they get there they find a little bunny in the fence.   After they got the bunny out of the fence they bring it home.  They were hoping to find the Bunny's home but they didn't.  So Emma thought of a name for it.  She was calling the bunny Lapi after her Grandpa's stories.  The rabbit in his stories was Monsieur Lapin so that is how Emma got Lapi's name.

Emma had always been homeschooled and she was going into 5th grade.  Emma's first day of Public School wasn't what she was hoping for.  She soon brings Lapi to school for a project and finds out she really does have a true best friend after all.

Now for what I thought about the book.  I think it was really sad in some parts but in all the happy parts it was really happy and enjoyable at the same time.  To me it was one of those books that was so enjoyable I couldn't put it down.  It meant a lot to me because this year was my first year of public school as I have always been homeschooled like Emma.   I just finished fourth grade and I had a hard time making friends so it reminded me that I wasn't the only one that has had that problem. Over all it is one of the best books I have read yet.

Take care,

Sweet P

Sweet P loaned me this book to read while we were in Colorado.  I loved the book.  As Sweet P said in her review, there are some very sad parts and some really happy parts.  All in all, I think its so true to life.  I loved that Emma gave great details of the many stories her grandparents shared with her.  And yes, I was in tears as I finished reading it.

Take care and happy reading,

xoxoxo
