Hi, I’m Debbie and I’m a Louisiana born/Texas living wife to
a wonderful man who is patient and understanding (99% of the time) of my never-ending
list of projects. I am “mom” to two
beautiful women and “maw-maw” to three precious grandchildren. I have an office
job by day, but love to spend my spare time decorating, baking, and of course
hanging by the pool.
We’ve lived in the same house since we’ve been married (20+
years) and decided a long time ago that we would never upsize to a bigger
house, but instead remodel, renovate and redecorate to make this house fit all
of our needs both functionally and aesthetically. I’m always looking for ways
to change things up and always have a project “queuing up” in my head! These projects almost always have some
element of DIY and usually end up with me painting, sewing, gluing, or even playing
in the dirt!
I am a planner by nature and by trade (which can prove to be
both a blessing and a curse. I always seem to follow, “if you want it done
right, do it yourself” mentality. I suppose that can also stem from being a
mom! Hah only kidding….mostly). I love
decorating for parties both small and large so you’ll probably see a lot of
pictures from our family get togethers on this blog. Our family really does
look for any excuse to decorate.
My three grandbabies will surely be mentioned a lot on here
as well. I enjoy outfitting them in the latest fashions, but most of all, I just
love spending time with them. Being a grandmother is one of the greatest joys
of my life.
I am also a Disney World addict and a big fan of Mickey
Mouse! I am always eager to plan a trip, much to my husband’s dismay… even
though I think he secretly enjoys it just as much as I do.
So now that you’ve gotten to know me a little, feel free to
stop on by anytime. If I don’t answer
the door bell, come around to the back where you’ll be sure to find me lounging
by the pool. We all know life is so much better by the pool!!!
