Pearland Little League Update

Pearland pitcher Matthew Adams threw 52 strikes out of 89 pitches in 42⁄3 innings during the 6-4 opening-round victory over Cumberland American.
Pearland, TX Little League won their first game on Friday, against Rhode Island 6-4.  It was a very good game through the very end.  

Last night Pearland East played against Philadelphia in a heart stopping game.  Pearland was ahead 6-5 and Philadelphia made a comeback and won 7-6.  It was a great game.  This was Philadelphia's first time to play at the Little League World Series.

Pearland plays today at 2 p.m. in an elimination game against Lynwood Pacific, the Northwest champion from Washington State, which is also 1-1 in the tournament.

Pearland East will have to win today, Tuesday and Thursday in order to reach the finals.
