Brooke's wedding was all about the details. She chose this "Once Upon a Time" charm from Hobby Lobby to be tucked under her bouquet. This was her something blue.
She chose this beautiful and inexpensive cross from Hobby Lobby to dangle from the front of her bouquet as she walked down the aisle. If you look really close, above the cross, you can see the ring charm she pulled from her sister's wedding cake (cake charm). This was her something old.
She ordered her garters online from Etsy. They were beautiful. I believe she ordered the shoes from Dillards.
Okay, I'm getting off track here, but here's a funny story about the shoes. :) We are all short in our family so Brooke was determined to wear high (like 4+ inch shoes) for the wedding. My opinion was that she needed lower and more comfortable shoes for the day. (Like my opinion counted, right!) I kept nagging telling her to be sure and "break in" the shoes. The day of her bridal portraits she got a "good idea" of how uncomfortable the shoes would be and agreed to get a "backup" pair of shoes (wedges - not exactly pretty but very comfortable).
The day of the wedding we are dressing her and she has on these shoes. She looks at me and says "what do you think about me wearing the "wedges" instead?" I told her to quickly change shoes. :) She did not have any problems with her feet hurting. :) One of those cases where mom knows best? Right?!!! :)
The bracelet was borrowed from her sister. Her necklace and earrings were something new from T Carolyn's in Spring, TX.

Happiness is the consequence of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it, and sometimes even travel the world looking for it.
