A Magical Harry Potter Party

Hello there and happy Monday!  I hope all is well with everyone.

Last Tuesday night Brooke and Brad hosted "A Magical Harry Potter Party".  They have sold their home so they wanted to have one last "fun time" before they moved.

We  had so much fun!  Seriously!!!  Now keep in mind the guys aren't really into Harry Potter like the girls are but they were really good sports.

Brooke and Brad did a great job with the decorations.  She found the printables on line.

I was rushing to take photos before we ate dinner and I forgot to take a photo of Harry Potter's owl Hedwig.

Brad came up with the idea of the letters.   I thought it was a great idea.

Ms. A and Sweet P loved the signs on the toilet lid.

Brooke made the cake to look like the one Hagrid gave Harry in the first movie "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone".  It was the first time anyone had given Harry a cake or a gift.

She printed out spells, potions and coloring pages for the littles.

I wish this photo would have came out better.  There are actually indentions in the side of the pitcher...maybe you can see the one at the bottom left.  It was perfect for the iced tea.

Brooke found the glasses at her favorite store the Dollar Tree.  She said they were the Dementors.

She also found the black caldron and the skeleton servers there, too.  Great idea to serve the "Gillyweed Salad" in.

She served Stouffers Lasagna for dinner with breadsticks.

Miss A was pretending to cast a spell on me.

Here's my little cutie pie!

Paw Paw's Sweet P!

After dinner we watched the first movie Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.  Afterwards, we split up in to two teams to play a version of Harry Potter's Jeopardy.  We used the Sorting Hat to determine who was on what team.  The Hufflepuffs and the Gryfindors made up one team and the Ravenclaws and the Slytherins made up the other team. It was so much fun!

Mr. W was so good during the movie.  In fact, he watched most of it.  Except of course when his mom covered his eyes.  Ha!  He didn't like that very much.  :)

He is so darn cute!

We played a Harry Potter version of Jeopardy.  This is the game board Brooke put together.  Each team would take a turn choosing a subject and a number to get their questions.

Sweet P and Miss A were captains of the teams.  It was game on!

We were very serious in trying to come up with the answers to win the points.

Mr. W is being silly with his Uncle Bradley.

Can you tell she got the answer right?

The Hufflepuffs and the Gryfindors won (Ms. A's team).  And believe me it wasn't because the hubs and I knew all of the answers! The prize was a Harry Potter puzzle.

We had a really, really good time.  Even the guys.  What a great way to remember the many fun times we've had at Brooke and Brad's first home.

The next day we all went to Galveston.  I hope to have the photos ready for tomorrow's post.  I believe I took over 400 photos.  It may take a minute or two to sort through and edit them.

Hope you have a wonderful evening....with really nice fall weather!!!

Take care,

xoxoxo

Debbie
