Welcome back!!! Are you ready to continue with the tour of our holiday home? I've poured you a fresh sweet tea just in case you get thirsty along the way.
Today we are touring my office which is decorated in Disney all year long. I hope you love Disney as much as I do. Here's a fun song "Snow Globe" by Matt Wertz. I hope you enjoy it.
Kevin and I bought this print in December of 2013 on our anniversary trip to Disney World. We were lucky to be able to get it autographed by the artist that drew it, Greg McCullough.
Here is the view of my office from the kitchen. Can you tell I love Disney? Especially Mickey Mouse?
I have collected these Mickeys over the years. The Mickey snowmen go back to 2001. That's the year the girls and I went to Disney World to celebrate Tiffani's graduating from college. We bought them to put in the window of our hotel room.
I couldn't resist draping my Mickey Mouse Santa hat over my computer and putting the Minnie Mouse headband over the topiary. What better way to showcase them?
The Mickey's Tree Farm was a surprise gift from the hubs for our anniversary. He definitely knows the key to my heart. :) At least one of them.
On our anniversary trip to Disney World I had a surprise stocking for the hubs delivered to the room our first night we were there. It was filled with lots of goodies. He was kind enough to buy me the matching Minnie Mouse stocking. He went through great lengths to get my name embroidered to match his. So sweet. He's definitely a keeper!
I really enjoy decorating my office....makes me want to go back to Disney World. :)
I purchased our tree skirt from the Disney Store a couple of years ago.
My village is a hodge podge of Department 56 and a generic village I picked up at Sam's Club several years ago.
My favorite piece is the Castle I found in Old Town Spring many years ago. It was marked down from $120 to $35. I keep my eyes open all the time because you never know what you are going to find.
I imagine this little guy's mom is preparing him for the let down he is about to experience leaving the park to go home. Ha ha! I can honestly say that I go through it every single time. I know I drive the hubs crazy because as we are riding the Magical Transportation bus back to the airport I am planning our next trip. The hubs is a good sport about it and just goes along. Having gone the last two years I an not sure when our next trip will be....definitely not soon enough for me!
Oliver Itson, an artist at Disney World, drew this for us and signed it. I keep this one out year round.
It makes me smile to see my Disney Christmas decor on my desk.
Mr. W loves to turn on the Mickey and Minnie snow globe. The snow spins around and the lights blink while it plays Christmas music. I believe I got it at Lowe's many years ago.
I hope you enjoyed your tour of my office. Does it have you wanting to go to Disney World? I have to say my favorite time to go is when the parks are all decked out for Christmas.
Here are a couple of Christmas songs sung by Disney characters. Makes my heart smile.
Thank you for stopping by. I really enjoyed your visit. I hope you have time to stop by on Friday so we can continue the tour with our family room.
Do you have your menu for Thanksgiving? Our family has decided to have a "non traditional" dinner on Thanksgiving. The request has been made to have either pizza or breakfast. Yes...you read that right. My son-in-law Justin usually requests his favorite foods...turkey, green bean casserole, etc. Unfortunately he will be working so the grandkids have taken over. We are okay with it as we know Brooke and Brad will not want to eat turkey again after sharing Thanksgiving with his family. The request has been made to eat pizza, watch Christmas movies and play games. Sounds like a lot of fun to me!
The hubs slipped in a request for rice dressing and candied yams. Will do. Today he was talking about a ham....who knows what all we will have.
I want to wish you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving holiday. Please be safe if you are traveling and don't eat too much!
Take care,
xoxoxo
So fun to see your Disney office. I have a Disney village too, and I don't think we have any of the same buildings. Mine are newer, as I just started my village a couple of years ago. We are going in January for a quick 4 night trip. Can't wait.
ReplyDeleteOkay now it's my turn to be jealous. I hope you have a wonderful time at Disney! Sounds like we have a lot in common! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
DeleteMy husband is a Disney fanatic too and would love these decorations! I never knew they had this village either - I need to start paying better attention and congrats on your score from the $120 to $35! That's my kind of bargain! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to hear a man is a Disney fanatic. In our family it's all the girls and the guys go along with it. You are so lucky! Are you a Disney fan? Watch for the village pieces to go on sale between now and Christmas and after Christmas. You can get some really good deals. Hallmark, too.
