Our 4th of July Celebration

We celebrated the 4th of July on Sunday afternoon so everyone could stay as late as they wanted and not have to worry about being in bed early for work the next day.

This year I decorated with the Coca Cola theme both inside and outside.  I set up a table of sweet treats in the game room.  We had lots of goodies.  There was candy for watching a movie, cookies, cracker jacks, rice krispie treats, homemade pretzel sticks dipped in chocolate....

fresh strawberries and cheesecake dip (I'll have to share that with you soon...it is so good!)  #yummyinmytummy

marshmallows dipped in chocolate...

supplies in a bucket to make s'mores.  #ohhowtheylovesmores

I didn't take any photos of the real food. :)  We had sliders, hot dogs, barbecue chicken, grilled pork chops, green beans, assortment of chips and barbecue beans.

By the time I remembered to take pics of the outside they had already grabbed the Coke glasses for the kids so there is only one left on the table.  :)

We had an assortment of glow-in-the-dark trinkets for the kiddos.

I totally slacked off in taking pics from this point on.  I was busy enjoying myself visiting with the big girls.  The hubs and Justin made pina coladas for us and kept refilling our glasses.  #welovepinacoladas

This little guy is so funny!!!  I have been trying to teach him how to float on his back and he would have nothing to do with it.  At one point, he was playing in the pool and somehow or another, he ended up on his back with his legs and arms straight into the air.  You should have seen his face when he realized what he was doing.  :)  He had a panic look come over him....I was laughing so hard.  (I guess you had to be there.)  He started laughing when he saw me laughing at him.  He is now floating on his back and jumping into the pool like his sisters.  I can't imagine what he will be doing by the end of the summer.

They are so serious...I am sure they are trying to decide what game to play next.  Big decisions, right?

We watched Pan for a while until the movie messed up then we switched to National Treasure.

We had a really fun time.  I hope you and your family had a nice holiday, too.

Take care,

xoxoxo

Debbie

    1. It really is a bank and the lid pops off. I put pieces of tape across it so I could place the $1 floral stems (from Dollar Tree) in it. I cut off the stems so I could place them where I wanted. It was really cheap and a really fast. Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me. I loved seeing your Fourth of July decorations. Your backyard is utterly fantastic! I really wish we could fit a pool somewhere, but there is just nowhere to put one. We lived in Texas for several years, too. I am impressed with all your Coke themed stuff. I have a few things, but not a big collection like yours!

    1. Thank you for stopping by to visit. Believe it or not a friend of mine was getting rid of the Coca Cola decor and I asked for the wooden wagon. She gave me everything! I couldn't say no knowing I could use it to decorate for parties. I had way more than that as I gave my youngest daughter several pieces. Have a good weekend!
