Getting Down and Dirty

Pansies - my favorite flower of all!!!

It's that time of year when the yard is looking a little desperate.  We had mulch brought in for the beds in the front and the backyard.  The hubs chose the black mulch.

I was thrilled when we went to the Houston Garden Center and saw these beautiful flowers.  The heavens opened up and the angels were singing.  I was so excited!!!!

This next photo shows off our shiny "new looking" path lights along with the pots I painted.  Little touches like these really "freshen up" the outside with very little money.

I'd like to introduce you to Mr. Scarecrow.  He hangs out on our front porch until a week or two before Thanksgiving.  Isn't he a cutie?
