Come on in, it's so nice to see you. I hope you are having a good day today. Can you believe it is December 4th? Christmas Eve (Brooke's birthday) is in 20 days!!!! I cannot believe it, but on the other hand I am so excited!!! I love this time of the year when we completely transform our home. I want to give a shout out to Brad as today is his birthday. Happy birthday Brad!!! We are all getting together this evening for dinner and to watch his favorite movie Elf.
I have a platter of fresh baked cookies and a glass of milk waiting for you. I've chosen Faith Hill's "Where are You Christmas" from the movie The Grinch for our listening pleasure today. It is so fitting because the theme of today's room is The Grinch!
Welcome to our Grinch bedroom. The beautiful red feather wreath has hung on our master bedroom door for several years now, but I thought it was only fitting to hang it on the Grinch's door. Don't you love the wooden sign "Knock only in you have presents"? Sounds like something the Grinch would say, right?
He has another sign that says "Santa stop here". Sounds like he is being a little greedy, don't you think?
I love this whimsical stocking. She looks like one bossy, strong willed lady that knows exactly what she wants.
Here is a whimsical duck to compliment our bossy lady.
Here is a view of the room from the doorway looking in.
The Grinch used to hang out in the foyer but now he has his own private room. I have had him for a really long time. He used to talk and move, by motion sensor, but he no longer works. Maybe I can find someone to work on him after Christmas. He used to scare the bejeezus out of me because out of the corner of your eye his shadow looks like a person. And heaven forbid that he would talk!
I love this colorful and whimsical Snowman. He was purchased at Pier One several years ago.
I had wrapped the grandkids Grinch pjs from Pottery Barn in these pretty packages. I shared the story of the pj's with you here. I love the Believe gift tags.
I love the saying "Don't get your tinsel in a tangle". I found it at Hobby Lobby a couple of years ago. The colors are perfect for this room.
The little penguin came from Pier One.
This sweet tree used to be in the foyer.
The ornaments were purchased at Universal Studios Orlando.
My sweet hubby gifted me with this beautiful comforter set from Pottery Barn Teen for my Christmas and birthday gifts. I absolutely love it. Hands down, my favorite gift of all time.
The colors are brilliant.
I already had the whimsical hats from a Christmas Party I put on for work years ago.
I take really good care of my decorations. :)
These flannel sheets are so soft and comfy.
I love the way this room turned out. It makes my heart glow, just like the Grinch's.
As the sign says "It's the most wonderful time of the year"!
Hands down, this is my favorite room in our home for this Christmas. The grandkids will be over for several sleepovers and one of the nights we will watch The Grinch all cuddled up in bed. Should be a lot of fun!!!
This past Monday Tiffani and the grandkids came over. They were dressed in their new Grinch pjs and we took photos of them in the bed. They had so much fun and the photos came out really cute. I look forward to sharing them with you.
Do you have a favorite room in your home that you have decorated for Christmas? If so I'd love to hear about it.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend doing the things you love with the people you love!
Take care,
xoxoxo
Oh my goodness but I LOVE this whimsical room and the Grinch is always a favorite of mine! :)
ReplyDeleteOkay it sounds like we have a lot in common....except Tigers and Razorbacks but we can work that out!!! I love the Grinch room, too. Definitely my favorite for this year.
