I am so late with this post but I wanted to document it so we can look back on it.
I want to warn you. There are lots and lots of photos ahead. Most all of them are of the team with a few others added here and there.
I want to give a shout out to my sister-in-law Debbie for working with Kam to get our tickets to the game. We truly appreciate it.
A really special shout out to Kam for getting the team to autograph two baseballs for the girls. They were so excited. (This was all the hubs idea. A good one for sure.)
We found the Baylor rhinestone stick-ons at Spice Village.
For this game, Kam played 1st base.
Steven McLean usually wears #2 but in this jersey he wears #29. He plays 3rd base.
Matt Menard is #13. He is the catcher.
Next up is Kameron Esthay, #18. He plays 1st base or left field.
Darren Sheppard, #11 plays outfield.
Here is a pic of my brother. It was his birthday. We gave him the movie the 5th Quarter. I did a post on it here. When he opened his gift, you would have thought he had won the lottery. He was so happy. :) Again, the hubs idea. Two for two.
Here's a video of our Sweet P running for the 3rd base. They choose a child from the stands to run and get the base within 30 seconds. She is one fast runner.
And here is her reward. :) She is so proud.
Baylor was giving away t-shirts and books so they made out like bandits. We were able to pick up a couple of shirts and a book for Mr. W, too. And I can't forget the foul balls. I wish I had taken a photo of all of the foul balls they ran after (with the hubs in tow). And they still wanted more. :)
These sweet girls are responsible for finding a child to announce "let's play ball" at the beginning of the game, finding someone to participate in running for the bases and for throwing t-shirts to the fans in the stands. Our girls have been asked two different times to make the announcement but have said no. Maybe next year. :)
McNeese won 12-7. Some of Kam's best friends were playing for McNeese so it was nice to see them all together.
We all went to dinner at George's Restaurant and Bar.
On our way home we stopped at Dilorio Farms & Roadside Market in Hempstead, TX. They have the sweetest watermelons and farm fresh vegetables year round.
These watermelons are way better than the ones in the grocery store. I'm sure it had something to do with the Mickey Mouse sticker, right?
The hubs and I went to Hobby Lobby and bought cases for the girls to display their baseballs.
Thanks again to the Baylor baseball team for autographing the balls for the girls.
We had a great time and are looking forward to going next year. #sic'embears
Take care,
xoxoxo
